Freedom? Really? Gotta be kidding me!

66 years since we got independence and still we bear in mind the stories of our freedom struggle, with the overwhelm I single out my much loved of the freedom warriors and revolutionaries like a little child still. Worth it? Is this the India they yearned for breaching the horrendous cuffs of servitude? Is this the India you dream of? I suppose, the reaction is NO. Corruption- The fire fizzles out as soon as it is twisted parting mere the ashes behind. Borders- Our neighbors consider the silence as our vulnerability. Society- Hypocrites molded by unawareness foster rotten moral and religious values. Abuse- Harassment seems to be knocking at the front door now valiantly. Poverty- The most misquoted and mishandled thing in this country with no signs of improved statistics.

Not my Kashmir, Not your Kashmir; India's Kashmir!

When I was a second grade student, residing in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, courtesy my dad who is in the army, I used to observe life with grey tinted glasses. I saw how people were petrified to smile in anxiety of their smile being snatched away. Little did I know that it was because of certain demented packs who fight from behind the armor of religion. I deliberated that is how my countrymen are; deprived, unfortunate, grieving. Whenever I boarded a Shikara blissfully embracing the Dal Lake, I noticed that the rower raised his head to the Shankracharya many a times; that explained to me how one looks up to the one above all. That mystic Aum ॐ

All things are actualized with Aum, let this actualize with Aum too. That hourglass damaru of The Supreme Lord swarmed the void with vibrations of its divine sound which was consequential in the inception of being. The drum beats out every sound property in the universe, from the heartbeat of the tiniest form to eons indulged in the cycle of the foundation and annihilation of the cosmos.
